The central government is doing injustice to Telangana: MLC Kodandaram.
MLC Kodandaram criticizes the central government for injustice towards Telangana, particularly regarding Krishna water distribution. He highlights the BRS leaders' silence over the issue for the past decade and emphasizes the need for accountability from the Congress party in the ongoing MLC elections.

Hyderabad: MLC Kodandaram responded to the ongoing discussions between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh regarding Krishna water and the central government's response. Speaking at a media conference in Hyderabad on Friday, he stated that water distribution was one of the fundamental causes of the Telangana movement. He expressed that the central government had cheated Telangana by not providing the water share that rightfully belongs to the state. He also criticized the BRS leaders for remaining silent for the past ten years while in power regarding the Krishna water dispute.
Kodandaram further remarked that the central government is doing injustice to Telangana and promised to stand firm on behalf of the TJAS (Telangana Joint Action Committee). He found it absurd that now, when they are in the opposition, they are claiming to fight for the cause. He expressed his anger, stating that the current situation was the result of the silence maintained by the ruling party for the past ten years. He reiterated that the promises made by the Congress party to the people in the past elections should be fulfilled, and confirmed that the TJAS would strongly hold them accountable.
Kodandaram also informed the media that the Congress has sought the support of TJAS in the ongoing MLC elections in Telangana.
Recently, the Krishna River Management Board filed a complaint, with Telangana's Minister for Irrigation, Uttam Kumar Reddy, alleging that the Andhra Pradesh government is illegally diverting Krishna waters. In response, a meeting of the board, chaired by Atul Jain, was scheduled for this afternoon. However, unexpectedly, the Special Chief Secretary of the AP Water Resources Department wrote a letter to the KRMB requesting a postponement of the meeting.
